Roberta Richey Obituary

We bid farewell to Roberta Richey (Kansas City, Missouri), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 7, 2025 at the age of 94. Roberta touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Orvie Walker and Gladys Walker (Wallace); her husband Burton Richey of Corning; her brothers, Hugh Walker (Phyllis) and Glen Walker; her brothers-in-law, Joesph Richey (Margie) and Lewis Roberts; and her great grandchild Jackson Sherman.

She is survived by: her children, Julee Sherman (Jeff) of Fayette, MO and Scott Richey (Cindy) of Kansas City, MO; her grandchildren, Matthew Sherman (Stasia) of Fayette, MO, Ryan Sherman (Nicole) of Glasgow, MO, Joseph Richey of Seattle, WA and Laura Richey of Los Angeles, CA; her great grandchildren, Graham, Nash, Will, Charlotte and Tripp; her sister Dona Miller (George) of Springfield, MO; and her sisters-in-law, Naomi Walker of Stanberry, MO and Mary Lou Roberts of Lawrence, KS. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the North Cross United Methodist Church (1321 NE Vivion Rd, Kansas City, MO 64118). A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Nodaway Memorial Gardens.
