He was predeceased by: his parents, William Abner Martin and Lorene Elizabeth Martin Hagerman (Odum). He is survived by: his wife Meg Montford (Martin); and his children, Sherri Cochran (Russ) of Wheatland, Charity Martin of Smithville, Missouri, Jerry Dabney of Cole Camp and Kerry Martin (Barbara) of Kansas City, Missouri. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
