He was predeceased by: his parents, John Francis Honan and Elizabeth Lucile O'Rourke; his siblings, John Honan (Betty), William Honan and Gloria Acker (Chris); and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Strayer and Michael Strayer.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Gregory Honan, Julie Johnston (Kevin), Eileen DeVaney (Scott) and Christine Simpson (Eric); his grandchildren, Gavin, Suzie Honan, Brecklyn, Balianna, Morrison Honan, Venice, Viviana Johnston, Ozzie, Seren DeVaney, Thorsten and Lucy Simpson; his daughter-in-law Kourtney Honan; his siblings-in-law, Jean Honan, Jay Strayer (Kay), Suzanne Siverson (Randolph), Joan Asher (Kennett) and Marilyn Durwood; and his cousin Rozzie Motter. He is also survived by many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Catholic Church (5141 Main St, Kansas City, MO 64112). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests contributions in honor of Dick to Visitation Parish or a charity of your choice.
