He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Raymond Arthur Lawrence Sr. and Mildred Adelaide Lawrence (Bright); his children, Randy Lawrence of Kansas City, MO, Julie Hamilton (Ron) of Lee's Summit, MO, Susan Pair (Jeff) of Branson, MO, Elizabeth Wait (Gary) of Kansas City, MO and Matthew Lawrence (Jennifer) of Tucson, AZ.; his grandchildren, Bret Hamilton, Savannah Scrivner, Bailey Hamilton, Ariana Lawrence, Madison Nesmith, Cassidy Scrivner, Jessica Lawrence, Santana Lawrence, Christopher Pair and Antonio Lawrence; and his great grandchildren, Adley Scrivner and Roman Nesmith.

“I was very sad to learn of Ray's passing. We worked together for many years and starting getting together monthly to share stories and laughs. It was my turn to host our March get-together and was looking forward to catching up with Ray and our pals. I will miss seeing Ray during our "meetings." We will continue our get togethers as that is what Ray would have expected, toasting our friend each time. RIP my friend. My deepest condolences to Ray's family.”

“I was very saddened to hear of Ray's passing. We worked together for many years and he was always around for a quick story or just a smile. After retirement, we would get together monthly to celebrate life and talk about whatever was on our minds. Ray was a very good friend and an avid sports fan. He loved people and always had life in a good perspective. We will miss him deeply. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ray's family and all of those who also knew him and called him friend.”
