He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Tonya; his granddaughter Lily Jo; his parents, Lillian and Odine; his sister Terry; his father-in-law Jim; his daughters, Morgan Regers (Colt), Madison Slocum (Matt) and Lily; his mother-in-law Ann Skinner; his sisters, Sharon Pace (Fred) and Sandy Nelson (Arthur); and his sister-in-law Theresa (John).

As president of the CARE People program, he gave anyone in need a hand up instead of a handout and he played in many charity golf tournaments to raise money for amputees who couldn't afford prosthetic legs.
