She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Shumate and Georgia Inez Gillespie Shumate; her husband Paul Parks; her daughter Georgianna Barrett; and her siblings, Alener Davis, Walsteen Wright and James Shumate.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rhonda Sutton (Robert) and Allison Parks. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
