She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Albert R. Maddox and Olive Cox-Maddox; her son-in-law Stuart M. Conklin; and her daughter Rhonda M. Conklin. She is survived by: her husband Lemuel "Mike" Steed; her grandsons, Kristopher and Justin Conklin; her great grandchild Zya; and her stepdaughter Tracy Gierzak. She is also survived by many relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Watkins Heritage Chapel (4000 Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64130). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
