She was predeceased by: her parents, Norton Payne and Marvin Anna Boydston (Chestnut); and her siblings, Stanley Boydston, Howard Boydston, Owen Boydston of Irvin Boydston, M. C, Anna Eunice Palmer, Mildred Lober and Adella Mae Foxworthy.
She is survived by: her sons, Mark Surls and Mike Surls (Marie); her grandchildren, Jennifer Carta (David), Jeremy Surls (Kayli), Joseph Surls (Jackie), Jonathan Surls (Katie) and Jeanelle Staffel (Mike); her great grandchildren, Cecily, Isabelle, Benjamin, Falon, Zoey, Jackson, Ethan, Tripp, James and London; and her brother Leonard Boydston. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
