He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his children, Keli Young (Bill Slaney) of Hedrick, IA, Robyn Emel (Jason) of Bible Grove, MO, Tabbatha Sanstra of Kansas City, MO, Todd Schnoebelen (Amy) of Kansas City, MO and Erin Tolin (Mike) of Kansas City, MO; his grandchildren, Chelsea Burkhiser (Arabelle Reed) of Kirksville, MO, Kyler Burkhiser of Denver, CO, Hannah Sanstra (Clayton) of Kansas City, MO, Miles Gerleman of Lockridge, IA, Hunter Carter of Columbia, MO, Alex Schnoebelen of Kansas City, MO, Emily Gerleman of Larned, KS, Cooper Tolin of Kansas City, MO, Bailey Schnoebelen of Kansas City, MO and Dylan Schnoebelen of Kansas City, MO; his mother Viola Heiner (Bunch) of Memphis, MO; and his siblings, Gary Young (Mary) of Memphis, MO, Barbara Lewis (Glen Pulliam) of New Canton, IL, Vikki Yesser (Paul) of Bend, OR and Jonna Michael of Green City, MO. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 9:00 AM and from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Stith Family Funeral Home - Polo (301 E Elm St, Polo, MO 64671). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Legion Post #557 in care of the funeral home.
