Ken Halligan Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ken Halligan of Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on March 5, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Anthony and Margaret Ellen Halligan (Morgan); his siblings, James Bernard, William J. Halligan, Margie Hurdel, Esther Spoo and Carol Reis; his siblings-in-law, Daryl Hurdel, Ron Spoo, Terry Newberry, Dee Brainerd, Richard Ruge, Curtis Johnson, Virginia Halligan, Phyllis Rae Johnson and Donna Johnson; his nephew Jim Ruge; and his godson John Newberry.

He is survived by: his daughters, Kendra Michelle Halligan of Kansas City, MO and Dedra Anne Martin (Joseph) of Kansas City, MO; his grandchildren, Nia Sinclair Martin and Joseph Dylan Martin; his siblings, Adeline Ruge, Don Halligan (Eleanor), Lucy Cadwell, Georgia Brainerd and Charlotte Newberry; and his brother-in-law Jim Reis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Therese Catholic Church (7207 MO-9, Kansas City, MO 64152).
