He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Burks and Devora Burks. He is survived by: his wife Yecha Hwang; his daughter Sue Aagesen (Nathan); his stepson Thomas Goudy (Muoi Tran); his grandchildren, Andrew Scholler, Yetta Scholler, Annika Aagesen and Mason Aagesen; and his daughter Sheri Steele. He is also survived by two siblings, and numerous extended family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Terrace Park in care of his family.
