He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Thomas Buckley and Thelma Louise Buckley (Stevens); his sons, James Patrick Buckley (Sherry) of Sedalia, John Robert Buckley (Ana) of Eagle Pass, TX, Robert Jackson Buckley (Amy) of Columbia, MO, Brendan Connor Buckley (Mary) of Kansas City, MO and Brian Thomas Buckley (Sara) of Bethesda, MD.; his grandchildren, Hope, Connor, Jack, Chloe', Ryan, Ellie, Bobby, Sean, Brynn and Lyla; his former wife Mary Beth Bazin; his brother John Robert Buckley of Kansas City, MO; his stepsons, John Bazin of Renton, WA and Adam Pitney of Crafton, MD; his wife Mary Jo (Jackson); his nephew John T. Jackson; and his niece Amy Green Ramsey. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Sacred Heart School Foundation or Center for Human Services in care of the funeral chapel.
