She was predeceased by: her parents, Burmel Olmstead and Irene Olmstead (Mueller); her husband Jim Parks; her brother David Olmstead; and her grandson Sheldon Cain Parks.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Gale Jarman (Obie), Carol Lee Parks, Ila Marie Smith, Roger Dale Parks (Terry) and William "Bill" Edwin Parks (Debra). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Terrace Park Cemetery Lakeside Chapel (801 NW 108th St, Kansas City, MO 64155). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM and at 12:00 PM. A burial was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at the Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery (801 NW 108th St, Kansas City, MO 64155).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation in honor of Ila Mae's memory and in hopes of a brighter future for those living with the disease.
