He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Atkinson and Daisey Atkinson; his sisters, Bettie and Ann; and his daughter Glenda.
He is survived by: his brother Walter; his daughter Mickie; and his stepchildren, Janet, Jaynie, Kenneth and Gary. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
