He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Rose; and his siblings, Elsie Michaelis Renyer, Leona Michaelis Schmidt (Elmer), Julius "Mike" Michaelis (Eleanor), Hubert "Jim" Michaelis, Mildred Michaelis Sims, Leonard Michaelis and Carl Michaelis.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa; his children, John Michaelis and Margaret "Maggie" Hanners; his grandchildren, Emma and Nate Hanners; and his siblings, Walter Michaelis (Gerry) and Roberta Michaelis Kraus (Larry).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations go to Christ the King Catholic Church.
