She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Stites and Lois Stites; her grandmother Elizabeth; and her children, Susan, Michelle Holland and Gerard.
She is survived by: her siblings, Glenn, Madelyn, Zelma, Elda, Julia, Vivian, Geraldine and Lois; her husband Edward L. Burns; her son Kevin Burns of Jacksonville Beach, FL; and her grandchildren, Megan Burns, Allison Burns, Nick Burns, Christopher Holland and Sean Michael Holland.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the McGilley State Line Chapel (12301 State Line Rd, Kansas City, MO 64145). A Mass was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Elizabeth's memory to The American Heart Association.
