He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Buryl Elgin and Charlotte Young (Moore); his son Dennis Elgin; his siblings, Harold Young and Betty Crum; and his brothers-in-law, Charles Leonard and Roy Bishop.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Kenworthy (Karen); his daughters, Cheri Willsie (Brian) of Kansas City and Connie Kennedy (Kurt) of Kansas City; his grandchildren, Steven Willsie, Rochelle Townsend (Brent), Josie Kennedy and Damion Kennedy (Candace); his great grandchildren, Lucas Willsie, Madelyn, Parker Townsend, Violet and Christopher Kennedy; and his siblings, Lois Bishop of Liberty, MO, Robert Young (Ruth) of Bunceton and Sara Leonard of Bunceton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the King of Kings Lutheran Church (1701 NE 96th St, Kansas City, MO 64155). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Bunceton Lions Club, Zion Lutheran Church of Lone Elm, or King of Kings Lutheran Church of Kansas City.
