With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Marie Mattucks in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on April 13, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Dorothy Marie departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Dorothy Marie. Though Dorothy Marie may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Struttman and Mildred Struttman; her husband Hank Mattucks; and her son Larry Ray Mattucks. She is survived by: her children, Ted Mattucks of Kansas City, Denise Lakey of Houston, Bob Mattucks (Susan) of Oak Grove and Jeff Mattucks (Liz). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 5 step great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (8510 Wornall Rd, Kansas City, MO 64114). A Mass was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Forest Hill & Calvary Cemetery (6901 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO 64131).
