He was predeceased by: his mother Sheila Kenward (Hampton); his brother John Kenward; and his sister-in-law Dawn Kenward (Heitkamp). He is survived by: his father John Kenward (Jack); his sisters, Julie Kenward and Denise Ingraham; his nephews, John Michael Kenward and Justin Thomas; and his friends, Cathy Weigel, Bill Silvers of Carol Jones, DDS and Shelly Blay (Travis Oetken).
Donations may be sent in his honor to Midwest Transplant (where he was a donor in death), the KC Care Clinic (a nonprofit health center that provides affirming health care to the LGBTQ+ community), or to the Democratic party.
