He was predeceased by: his wife Reta Jo Mitchell (Hough); his parents, Mabel Mitchell (Shonka) and James Gusta Mitchell; and his brother William Mitchell. He is survived by: his son Russell Mitchell; his daughter-in-law Pam; his grandson Tyler of Lynnwood, Washington; and his niece Barbara Jo Kerr. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
