With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Brenda June Grothe of Kansas City, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 6, 2024 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mack Shoemaker and Lois Shoemaker (Hitchens); her son Kevin Scott Grothe; her brother Mack Shoemake (Jack); and her sister-in-law Jerry Ann.
She is survived by: her husband Arlo Grothe; her daughters, Jacqueline (Mathew Bondurant) and Alanna (Jimmy Courtney); her grandchildren, Valerie (Corey Roberts), Ashley Courtney (Mark) and Kyle (Emily); and her great grandchildren, Noah, Easton, Sophia, Logan, Isaac, Madelyn, Dawson, Olivia, Josiah and Janessa.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel (4700 SW 17th St, Topeka, KS 66604). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Mount Hope Cemetery (4700 SW 17th St, Topeka, KS 66604).
