She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose B. Cantu and Hortencia Cantu (Hinojosa); her former husband Dennis Portwood; her husband Francis Eckhart; and her siblings, Manuel, Rosario (Chayo), Sylvia, Yolanda (Yogi), Rosalinda (Chela) and John Elvis.
She is survived by: her daughters, Juanita M. Ballard (Rodney) and Melissa Bardwell; her grandchildren, Kady, Kacy, Angel, Seth, Dallas, Kaylee and Chance; and her sister Elizabeth Puckett (Phil). She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
