He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Wayne Potter Sr. and Clara Charlotte Potter (Uhlin); and his brothers, Wayne Edward Potter and Robert Wayne Potter Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Louise Potter; his son Michael Potter; his siblings, Patricia Garrett, Melvina Milford, Elayne Allison, Susan Baxley, John Potter and Jerry Potter; and his siblings-in-law, Carolyn Potter, Loretta Meisenheimer, Dennis Dukes, Eugene Meisenheimer and Edward Meisenheimer. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces, cousins, as well as longtime friends and coworkers.

Bert loved his job, and during his time at Labconco, he made many contributions to the company along with making lifetime friends.
