He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Hunziker and Ella Hunziker; and his brother Leland Hunziker. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine; his children, Rosanne Bonebrake (Richard) of Quincy, Rhonda Gates (Keith) of Kahoka and Rusty Leroy Hunziker (Carmen) of Kahoka; his grandchildren, Lizzie Richards, Catherine Baker (Mark), Breckan Yates, Hayley Nelsen (Cody), Kristy Justice (Dasan), Kelcey Yates, Autumn Dochterman (Brandon) and Arron Hunziker; his great grandchildren, Elaina, Kayden, Carver, Corrie, Cooper, Dallas, Parker and Hollyn; and his sisters, Lavon Hood (Robin) of South Carolina, Linda Plenge of Kahoka, Norma Toering, Neva Brunk of Hannibal and Karen Donahue of St. Louis.
Memorials in Leroy's memory may be made to the Kahoka Cemetery, The Hawkeye State Archeological Society, or the Nutrition Site Senior Center.
