It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry W. Griffitt of Kahoka, Missouri, born in Marshall, Missouri, who passed away on June 19, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Wilson and Velma E. Cassels Griffitt; his son Kris Rice; and his sisters, Hazel Griffin and Louise Ross.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Duer of Kahoka; his sons, Joel Griffitt (Chenda) of Blue Springs, MO and Josh Rice (Shelley) of Boonville, MO; his daughters-in-law, Jennifer Rice of Boonville, Leaha Rice of Columbia and Christine Rice of Boonville; his grandchildren, Peter Rice of Columbia, Kamryn Rice of Boonville, Libby of Boonville, Austin Rice of Boonville, Miciah, Eli, Grayson Rice of Columbia, Jalen and Cacey Griffitt of Blue Springs, MO; his siblings, Roy Jones of Gadsden, AL, Pat Wise (Greg) of Arnold, MO and Ann Winslow of Independence; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Duer of Kahoka and Margaret Lilienthal (Werner) of The Woodlands, TX. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.
