He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Heard Summers and Nancy Estelle Summers (Dorough); his wife Marjorie Ann Smith; and his brothers, Oscar (Sarah) and Marvin Summers (Jo).
He is survived by: his sons, Scott (Jan) of Kahoka, Steve (Lynn) of Kahoka and Greg (Teri) of Florence, Alabama.; his friends, Joe Krichel, Don Steingraeber, Craig Lamporte, Sam Poe and Les Fowler; his grandchildren, Zach Summers, Alex Summers, Stephanie Little and Collin Summers; his great grandchildren, Wyatt Little and Brexlee Summers; his close friend Anne Conrad; and his brother-in-law Dane E. Smith of Dubuque. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
