He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Duer and Mary Frances Duer Sr. (Mills); and his brother-in-law Jerry Griffitt. He is survived by: his children, Shawn Duer (Michele) of Kahoka and Shelby Buschling (Brock) of Kahoka; his sisters, Judith Griffitt and Margaret Lilienthal (Werner); and his grandchildren, Payson Duer, Maddie Johnson and Kennedy Johnson.
