William W. Hughes Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William W. Hughes of Joplin, Missouri, who passed away on March 18, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire his loved ones, keeping William's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hughes and Willie Hughes (Morrow); and his sister Carolyn Bell. He is survived by: his children, Brian Hughes, William Hughes Jr. (Kelly), Kimberly DeJarnatt (Hal) and Alicia Hirshey (Nick); and his brother James "Jim" Hughes. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild as well as numerous extended family.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary (3701 E 7th St, Joplin, MO 64801).
