He was predeceased by: his parents, Ola Dodd and Lola Dodd; his sons, George W. Dodd and Jimmy Edward Dodd; his son-in-law Tom Gilbreath; and his brothers, Wayne Dodd, Charles Dodd and Robert Dodd.

He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Dodd; and his children, Billye Davis (Roland) of Mayview, Barbara Gilbreath of Carthage, Missouri and Robert "Bobby" Dodd (Janice). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
