She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Homer Pruitt and Leola Pruitt; her husband Charles Bruce Piper; her daughters, Phyllis E. Battle (David) of Edmond, OK and Judy G. Belden (Scott) of Joplin, MO.; her grandchildren, Brian Battle (Carla), Brent Battle, Jeremy Battle (Kendra) and Parker Belden; her great grandchildren, Joseph and Isabella Battle; her brothers, Carlin Pruitt (Mary Lou) and Glendon Pruitt; and her friends, Kay Adams, Sandy Gates, Dorothy Goad and Nadine Smith.
She helped start the Penney's Retirement Group, who met together regularly, sharing fun, food, travel, and charity work.
