He is survived by: his wife Lucille Vest of Joplin; his daughters, Verna Ruth Middleton (Dennis) of Charlotte, NC, Rebecca Lynn Helms and Rosetta Marie; his grandchildren, Eric Taylor Middleton, Lauren Elizabeth Middleton, Jacob Ewan Foster, Joshua Owen Foster, Mason Skie Messer, Jenni, Sasha Renee, Matt, Chase Wesley Messer and Jessica; his great grandchildren, Ewan Samwise Foster, Iris Ada Foster, Elijah Cole Messer and Fayth Elise Westberry; and his brother Gleamon Vest (Betty) of Long Lane, MO. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Memorial contributions may be made to Stanley Ndichu Wainaina, a former exchange student, and may be entrusted to the mortuary.
