He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Nelson and Mildred Nelson (Gust); his daughter Jennifer Nelson; his sister Carlene Dyer; and his nieces and nephews, Austin Phillips, Montana and Chasidi Dyer.
He is survived by: his wife Katharine Nelson; his children, Jaymey Boston (James), Chris Nelson (Michelle), Lindsay Balcom (Nathan), Matthew Judah (Kirsten), Nathan Judah (Aida), Cody Nelson and Jaxon Nelson; his sister Christina Beaver (Alan); his nieces, Samantha Nelson and Cassandra Cartwright (Sean); his nephew Aaron Beaver (Kristina); his brother-in-law Bill Baxter; and his niece Stephanie Baxter. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jaxon Nelson's college fund.
