He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Brown and Kathryn Brown; his wife Mary Ellen Brown; and his brothers, Carl and JD Brown.

He is survived by: his pet Baxter; his children, Linda Simon (Bill) of Nixa and Gary Alford (Debbie) of Carthage, Missouri.; and his grandchildren, Angie Marn, Jeff Cloven and Shane Alford.
