He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Messner of Joplin; his children, Nicki Shelley (Chase) of Joplin and Dustin Messner (Erica) of Joplin; his grandchildren, Brecklyn Shelley, Austin Shelley and Raylen Messner; his parents, Jack Messner of Joplin and Theba Messner of Joplin; his siblings, Tim Messner, Margaret Campbell, Susan Smith, Aurora, Karen Perry and Nashville; and also, Mike Messner, Joplin Messner, Frank Messner and Carl Jct.
