He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Elmer Downey and Rosetta Alice Oliphant Downey; and his siblings, Larry Downey and Nancy Rowe. He is survived by: his wife Janet 'Anne Goodknight; his sons, Grant Downey (Bronwen), Craig Downey and Scott Downey (Krista); and his grandchildren, Kyle Downey, Adele Downey, Alexis Downey, Lyndi Downey, Zane Downey and Ezekiel Downey.
