She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert L. Thornton and Mary Ann Thornton (Stevenson). She is survived by: her husband John J. Cookerly; her children, John M. Cookerly (Kathy) of Joplin and Dorothy Palmer (Mike) of Columbia; and her brothers, George Thornton (Phillis) of Joplin, Steve Thornton (Helen) of Alb and Don Thornton. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
