Roger Burris Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roger Burris of Joplin, Missouri, who passed away on September 23, 2023 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Burris and Alberta Burris (Marshall); and his siblings, Billy, Lawrence, Earnest and Joyce White.

He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Ashley; his children, Roger Burris Jr. (Diane) of Lamar, Missouri and Angela Buchanan (Frank Buchanan II) of Joplin, Missouri; his siblings, Johnny Burris (Pat) of Vernon, Connecticut, Frankie Burris (Norma Jean) of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Carolyn Faye Taylor of Woodlawn, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Makenzie Burris, Franklin Buchanan III and Ashley Buchanan; his great grandchild Steve Shumaker (Melissa); and his children, Addison (Addie), Avery and Asher of Joplin, Missouri. He is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
