He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Patterson and Thena Patterson; and his brother Robert Bennett Patterson. He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Ann DeBard; his children, Lindsay Kristen Patterson and Grant Patterson (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Nathan Patterson, Malachi Comer and Paige Jacqueline Patterson; and his pet Chauncey.
The family asks that donations go to the First Methodist Church (General Fund), Joplin, Missouri, the American Cancer Society or the Joplin Humane Society and may be entrusted to the mortuary.
