He was predeceased by: his parents, A. R. Thomas and Florence Higginbotham Thomas; and his sons, Terry Thomas and Tom Fullerton. He is survived by: his wife Esther Matthews; his children, Tony Thomas (Christie), Tracy Thomas (Janie), Chris Henson (Mark), Tim Thomas (Sandy), Teresa Diener (Bud) and Lori Darnell (Zane); and his siblings, Barbara Barger and Ed Thomas. He is also survived by twenty six grandchildren; forty three great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to White Fields Overseas Evangelism, in care of the mortuary.
