He is survived by: his spouse Sonja Harper (Hoover); his son Wade Harper (Kelsey) of Joplin; his mother-in-law Ila Jean Hoover of Joplin; his brother Gene Harper (Nancy) of Paulsbo, WA; his brother-in-law Les Hoover (Sherry) of Neosho; his sisters, Lorri McKnight of Joplin, Jann Sanford of Greenville, SC, Karla Boissenet of Amarillo, TX and LeAnn Harper of Rogersville, MO; his nieces and nephews, Cash Hoover, Erik Boissenet, Chuck Boissenet, Barbi Trevarrow of Kaiti Hoover, M. D., Rose Harper, Shannon Glyer and Lyndsey Johnson; and his close friend Yeti.
