He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frank Handlin and Hester Handlin; his former wife Billie Joan Strella; his wife Melanie; his brother Max Handlin (Sharron); his children, Larry Handlin (Leslie), Lucas and Vickie (Alvin McGill); his grandsons, Derek Suelzle and Matthew Suelzle (Arissa); his great grandchild Peyton; his stepson Scott Blizzard (Melanie); his stepgrandchildren, Darcy, Dancy (Jesse) and Nick Blizzard (Heather); and also, Chelsea, Clinton, Caitlin, Josh Sherwood, Alexus Sherwood, Brodyn Day and James McGill.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's, Joplin Humane Society, or United Methodist Church Joplin in care of the mortuary.
