She was predeceased by: her parents, Gertrude Mitchell and Boyd Mitchell of Hornet; her husband Phillip Henry (Phil) of Joplin; and her sister Jacquelyn Mitchell Krusemark of Tulsa, Oklahoma.. She is survived by: her brothers, Ronald Mitchell (late Shirely) and Keith Mitchell (Joan); and her children, Darron Locke (Vicki), Kevin Locke (Tania), Kurt Locke (Brenda) and Jeta.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at the Joplin Humane Society in her name, or may be entrusted to the mortuary.
