She was predeceased by: her father George "Sterling" Grimes; and her son-in-law Alvin Borden. She is survived by: her former husband William Joseph Melton; her children, Nancy Borden of Joplin, Joyce Mittag (Lonny) of Dexter, Tonna Thomas (Tom) of Joplin and Terry Tracy (Lin) of Joplin; and her grandchildren, Kimberly, Chad, Jason, Dustin, Nick, Lisa, Joe, Becca, Tabitha, Tyler and Kyle. She is also survived by 25 great grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Joplin Gardens and may be entrusted to the mortuary.
