It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Pence (Joplin, Missouri), born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, who passed away on July 29, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Bradley Michael, Sarah Elizabeth, Valerie Marie and Kai Michael.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pence-Hooks Family Scholarship Fund at MSSU.

“Dear Andrea and family, We have fond memories of our varied activities with Mike. While we spent many hours in training for Missouri Master Naturalist we also were able to share in the development of the Wildcat Glades Audubon Center. He had a sincere love for the out of doors, learning and making a wonderful center for our community. He always believed that the Audubon Center could be done. And thourgh his leadership it was done. Good thoughts for you all. Vicki and Calvin Cassady”
