He is survived by: his wife Tammy Heitzman (Jackson); his son Robert "Bobby" Heitzman (Ashley) of Joplin; his grandchildren, Abbey Heitzman, Ella Heitzman, Ann Marie Heitzman, Tryson Heitzman and Chayse Heitzman; and his siblings, Kim Atwood (John) of Joplin, Debra Heitzman of Melbourne Beach, Florida and Dale Heitzman (Monque) of Owasso, Oklahoma. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
