He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Helms and Ruby Helms (Johnson); his siblings, Charlene (Griffin), Judy (Merit) and David Helms; and his stepfather James Ohler.
He is survived by: his son Little League; his wife Debra (Dodson); his children, Darrin (Lesley) of Fayetteville, AR, Karen Erdmann (Chris) of Duenweg, MO and Carin Cherry (Bob) of Miami, OK.; his brother Gail Helms (Nita) of Broken Arrow, OK; his close friends, Ray Williams (Marion) and Bob Eubanks (Kay); and his pet Odie. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
