Mary Lou Williams Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Lou Williams of Joplin, Missouri, who passed away on July 23, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Frank and Lizzi May Piquignot (Lamb); her father Carl Sharp; her husband Merle Williams; her son Donald L. "Donnie" Williams; her sister Geri Edwards; and her pets, CoCo and Maggie.

She is survived by: her children, Connie Carpenter (Steve) of Joplin, Robin Clemons of Joplin, Merle Williams, Jr. (Roberta), Pomeranian and Teddy. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Mary Lou was a strong foundation for her family and always there when she was needed.
