She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Cignetti and Alice Cignetti (Emmert) of Joplin; her husband John Welch; her son Tony; her granddaughter Rachael Welch; and her siblings, Robert, Ronnie and Carol Gaskill.
She is survived by: her sisters, Shirley LaPage of Jefferson City and Nancy Mayor of Fort Worth; her children, Mike Welch of Joplin, Pat Welch (Brenda) of Halfway and Susan Deubler (John) of Carl Junction; and her grandchildren, Jamey Smith (Kristi) of Joplin, Drew Crossland of Houston, Spencer Welch (Amanda) of Bolivar and Kaitlyn Wright (Brantley) of Webb City. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in memory of Mary and may be entrusted to the mortuary.
