She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Winton Hester and Goldie Mae Marple Hester; her husband Claude Irelan; her daughter Sharon Sue Irelan Barnett; and her great grandchild Alex.
She is survived by: her children, Claude Irelan (Gwen) of Summerville, SC and Treva Irelan Johnson (Bruce) of Overland Park, KS.. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She instructed her children on "The Golden Rule," charity, honesty, and respectfulness.
