He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob John LaGasse and Guida LaGasse (Holden); his siblings, Frankie Murray, Grace Barber, Guida Lea Irvin and John LaGasse; and his daughter-in-law Iretta LaGasse (Phipps).

He is survived by: his wife Darlene Sue Haase; his children, Louis, Michael and Jill LaGasse; his sister Mary Wallace; and his grandson Jeff LaGasse (Kandice). He is also survived by three children, and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
